This Week In RBNY

Lots of news in Red Bull NY land this week. First, we learned that Walter Garcia, the little used Argentine defender that was brought in a few months ago, is now on trial at Leeds United. He only played that last game against Toronto FC (and only because Petke was injured in the opening minutes) but looked pretty good at Center Back. We also learned that defender Leo Krupnik, an Agoos six-figure signing, had his contract terminated by the Red Bulls so he could go back to the Israeli League. Good Riddance! Then, of course, there's that whole Erik Soler situation (yes, I know: Who???). Also, the Red Bulls announced that they'll be taking part in something called The World Series of Football, an International Tournament to be held sometime next summer. In addition, work continues on Red Bull Arena (built by Makita), as you can see from the beautiful picture above. Some more pictures can be found here, courtesy of the Daily Harrison site. Last, but certainly not least, Mrs. Viper (she's the one on the right) was interviewed by Red Bulls Insider at the Red Bulls End Of Season Wrap Party held late last month. And, no - she didn't make me include that one (ha, ha).
