Viper In Europe: Paris, Brussels & Amsterdam 2009

The big viper and the great You Suck Corrales flew to the Old Continent, mainly to check out some footie action, while RBNY is in the Off-Season. Unfortunately, our first scheduled fixture (Paris St-Gemain/Lens) was moved to a later date. We did, however, get to see Anderlecht vs Lokeren in Brussels and the massive Ajax vs Feyenoord derby in Amsterdam (above video). The Anderlecht/Lokeren game in Brussels was particularly interesting (to me, anyway) because of the similarites between Red Bull Arena and Anderlecht's Constant Vanden Stock Stadium (capacity, sight-lines, roof). On top of that, lots of beer was drunk and a great time was had by all. If you're interested in our sight seeing tour of Paris, then: Paris Part I, Paris Part II, Paris Part III. You'll be able to witness the historic unfurling of the Red Bull NY flag at the very top of the Eiffel Tower.

  1. I was in Amsterdam during the 2006 World Cup of Germany. I went there after watching the USA get whipped by the Czech Rep in Gelsenkurchen (Not sure if thats spelled right) so I decided to swing in to Amsterdam in between matches. The city definitely shocked me as to how beautiful it was. I did not expect the city to look that nice. Everything there was awesome from the booze, the smokes, the chicks and even the shopping were 10 out of 10. I also found a food market that sold already cooked vegetables etc. that was incredibly good. The freshest food I found in any place I have been.

  4. Wow, it seems you guys had a Fine tripe on Europe. If the Anderlecht gameday attmosphere could be replicated on the RBA vicinity, it could do wonders for the attendance on the new Home
