Everything is ready then, for the big "Soft Opening" of Red Bull Arena (built by Makita) taking place tomorrow. The weather is even cooperating, as it wouldn't be us if there wasn't the obligatory monsoon coming this way. That said, yours truly will be in attendance as my son's tournament in Richmond, VA was cancelled because of the weather. So, on behalf of The Viper's Nest staff: Thank You Uncle Dietrich!
In other Red Bulls news:
Nationally Ranked Connor Chinn (pictured above) scored two goals for the Red Bulls in a pre-season scrimmage against Miami FC ( of the NASL) down in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Trialist Salou Ibrahim scored the first Red Bulls goal and the Estonian Maestro Joel Lindpere had two assists in this match, which finished 3-1. Miami FC players should take solace in the fact that they were able to score a goal in this one, something that DC United, the Houston Dynamo and Toronto FC were not able to do this pre-season against the Red Bulls. The Red Bulls will return to NY/NJ this weekend and will hold their first practice at Red Bull Arena this coming Tuesday March 16th, days before the "Grand Opening" festivities against Brazilian club Santos FC.
