Matchday @Red Bull Arena: RBNY vs Juventus

Good Afternoon! Another beautiful day here in RBNY land and the Red Bulls are back in action @The Cathedral of Football. This time they're taking on La Vecchia Signora di Torino. That's right, the Old Lady herself - the mighty Juventus of Turin, Italy - with her Talisman (and a frequently rumored Red Bulls target) Alessandro Del Piero (pictured above) - is here to take on a Red Bulls team coming off three straight MLS losses. In those last three MLS games, the Red Bulls have scored exactly one goal and given up eight. How well can they hope to fare against a Juventus team bringing in several of her big guns.

The great Matt Conroy is predicting a 4-1 Red Bulls loss in this one and I'm predicting a 3-0 loss. We're both of the opinion that many of our starters will not play or see just limited action in this meaningless friendly. Then again, maybe Mr. Backe will play all of our starters and save our reserves for the US Open Cup match against Colorado this coming Wednesday. Either way, I doubt the result of this one will be anything but a big Red Bulls loss. Matt will have videos and pictures up in next few days. See you at the US Open Cup game. Viper Out!
