Seeing Red Episode 10: Shep Messing (and Jack Nicholson!)

On this week's Seeing Red!, the great Shep Messing joins Mark, Nat (both back from DC) and Dave (back from his Asian voyages) to discuss the hot start to the Red Bulls' season, the maddening Dane Richards and the new men in charge at Red Bull Arena, among other matters.  One of the things I love most about Shep is his candor, and he pulls no punches here.  Shep also drops some knowledge on us about a celebrity visitor to Red Bull Arena for the FC Dallas game, a certain Mr. Jack Nicholson.  First Row Photos provided visual evidence of Jack's visit this morning. First Hugh Jackman and now Jack Nicholson - who's next?

In other, non-RBNY news, Commissioner Don Garber today confirmed the addition of the Montreal Impact as the league's 19th team in 2012.  The club will play in a renovated, expanded Stade Saputo, in the shadow of Montreal's Olympic Stadium.  Expansion into Quebec adds to the already great set of rivalries developing in the Eastern Conference.

If you've never been to Montreal before, it's a fantastic road trip.  The city has great parks, mouth-watering artery-clogging chow and a dizzying array of finer entertainment establishments along rue St. Catherine. What's more, it's only about a six-hour drive from Manhattan and is a hell of a lot more attractive than DC.  I have a feeling that Red Bulls fans will be making this away day trip in big numbers.

Félicitations aux Montréalais!
