Bouna Time in Senegal

Brian Lewis has reported that Bouna Coundoul has received a call-up from the Senegalese National Team. He currently leads MLS in saves with 67, and is third in save percentage (77.9%). He is also near the top of the league in wins and shutouts.

Taking a look at the FIFA.com website, Senegal's next match is a friendly against Cape Verde Islands, on August 11. You may know that this is the same day as our match against Toronto FC. We also have a match three days earlier at Chicago. Without knowing the details on when Bouna is scheduled to depart to join up with his National Team, it certainly seems unlikely that we will have his services in goal for the TFC game. I'll speculate that we won't have him against Chicago on August 8, either, though it's possible depending on when he leaves. The big question is, will he be available three days later for our sold out match against Landon Donovan, Edson Buddle, and the rest of the L.A. Galaxy on August 14? Stay tuned.
