RBNY News & Notes: Fat Cat Ink & Other Stuff

Good Evening! Just a few thing to touch upon here in Red Bulls land, before tomorrow's massive tilt against Sporting KC.

So who's that pictured above, with the brand spanking new Red Bulls bage tatoo? Why, that's the legendary You Suck Corrales of course. The man did state several times, during the epic DC trip last week, that he would get the badge tatoo if the Red Bulls won by a significant scoreline and if Thierry Henry scored. Well, as you know, both of his conditions actually came true. A man of his word and the most committed Red Bulls supporter I know. Truly a Legend! He would like to thank Fat Cat Tattoos NYC for the RBNY ink.

The Red Bulls newest aquisition, Dwayne DeRosario, is still trying to fit in the Red Bulls midfield. DeRo had a tremendous impact in his first game with RBNY, but has been somewhat missing in action since. I have no doubt that when DeRo actually clicks with our team, RBNY will be unstoppable.

Juan Agudelo's magic strike @DC has won MLS Goal of The Week. That's already his second GOTW this season, as his strike against Seattle already won the honor. To top it off, ESPN Deportes has this great Agudelo profile (in Spanish). Congratulations Juan!

Who is the latest star player rumored to be coming to RBNY? Why, it's one other than José María Gutiérrez Hernández. Who? Well, you might know him better as Guti. According to this tweet from him, his destination next season is either Los Angeles, New York or Istanbul.

Remember Giorgi Chigadze? No? Well, he was the first ever RBNY Homegrown player signing back in 2009. He missed the whole of the 2010 season due to injury, then was mysteriously released earlier this year. Well, it seems he'll be back training with the Red Bulls Academy. Puzzling, to say the least.

If you haven't done so already, check out Tim Ream's latest post in his NY Times blog.

That's all for now. I hope to see you all tomorrow @The Cathedral of Football. Viper Out!
